Seven Samurai / 七人の侍

Since I started working for "Five Apples" physically, I have been thinking about one of the best Akira Korosawa film, "Seven Samurai" so often.

I think this project is also homage to "Seven Samurai", which will be realized by a Japanese artist for the purpose of Building Piece through the Arts in Northern Ireland.

Actually my first name Shiro means Samurai.

「五個の林檎」の物理的な作業を始めてから、黒澤明の最高傑作の１つ「七人の侍」のことをよく考えている。このプロジェクトは北アイルランドにアートを通して平和を構築する目的のもと、日本人アーティストによって実現される「七人の侍」のオマージュ作品でもあると考えている。

実際のところ、自分の名前の士郎の士は侍の意味である。

Because of the strong wind, we started working inside Peter Spence Composites.

強い風のため、ピータースペンスコンポジットの内部で作業を始めた。

Peter used epoxy resin for the fragile parts of Adam’s Apple.

ピーターがアダムの林檎の壊れやすいとこにエポキシ樹脂を使った。

I shielded polystyrene of Beatles’ Apple & Steve’s Apple again. They are ready for laminating with GRP.

ビートルズの林檎とスティーブの林檎の発泡スチロールの保護をした。FRPで積層する準備完了。

Though Peter laughed at me, I am proud of my looking as a worker.

ピーターに笑われたけど、労働者としての汚れにも誇りを持っている。
